As the second eviction of the season approaches Thursday, who are the houseguests in the best position inside the “Big Brother” season 28 house?
There was a pretty significant shakeup in the top 5 for week 2, as several houseguests exhibited messy gameplay while others proved they have the chops to compete with the vets.
Here are the top five players I think have the best chances to win the game so far.

She also has a low threat level, as many of her houseguests seem to underestimate her. And Lyric is actively gaming harder than some of her peers, such as last week’s No. 2-ranked player Barrett Pfeiffer.
Do I think she can truly win? I am not sold yet. But she is better positioned than a lot of other houseguests with messy gameplay.

I wanted to drop Devens out of the top 5 entirely for some very poor gameplay this week and possibly messing up his entire Head of Household reign (we’ll see how the eviction plays out). But he still has some strong alliances to protect him and has avoided a lot of the heat that should be going his way.
Devens provided super fans with some of the best live feeds we have seen in years, and I truly thank him for it. But we can’t let the entertainment value of his game overshadow his strategic flaws. He’s just barely hanging onto this top 5 ranking.
