The BB Time Capsule Twist Changes Everything! Inside The Shocking Big Brother 28 Game Mechanic Everyone Is Talking About

Two weeks into Big Brother 28, the BB Time Capsule twist is well underway. We have already seen our first winner, our first punishment, and now the race is on to see who America will send into the Time Capsule next. So how is the twist playing out so far, and what can we expect in the weeks ahead?
In Week 1, Angela won America’s vote and became the first houseguest to enter the BB Time Capsule. Unfortunately for her, she came away with a punishment instead of a game changing power. She is now sporting the Egg-Detective costume that fans may remember Vince wearing last season. Since Angela has already entered the Time Capsule, she is no longer eligible in future fan votes, leaving the door open for someone else to take center stage.
Speaking of the next vote, our latest poll is already producing some interesting results.
At the moment, Devens leads the way with 23 percent of the vote. Rome sits in second place with 16.81 percent, while Dee is close behind with 12.45 percent. Our polls have been remarkably accurate in the past. In fact, Angela led our first poll with 18.3 percent of the vote before ultimately winning America’s vote, while Devens finished second with 15.27 percent.
If those numbers hold, Devens appears to be the favorite to enter the BB Time Capsule next. Still, Rome’s strong showing is worth watching. His support could indicate that viewers are looking to spread the wealth instead of allowing the same group of players, including Angela, Devens, and Dee, to continue holding all the power in the game. A surprise surge by Rome would certainly shake up the game, although Devens remains the clear front runner for now.
The next player selected for the BB Time Capsule will get the chance to earn one of six powers/advantages or receive one of five punishments. Since the first punishment brought back the Egg-Detective costume, it seems likely that future punishments will revisit memorable moments from past seasons. While more costumes are certainly possible, Big Brother has plenty of other classics to pull from (think the chum bath or even that tortuous soccer ball punishment).
The real intrigue, however, is the possibility of classic powers making a comeback.
Over the years, Big Brother has introduced some incredibly influential advantages, including the Diamond Power of Veto, the Halting Hex, and other twists that have completely altered the course of a season. If history is any indication, CBS is not afraid to hand out game changing powers. For now, CBS is keeping the complete list of challenges, powers, and punishments under wraps. Viewers will not know what awaits each week’s winner until they step inside the BB Time Capsule.
The twist is scheduled to continue through Week 7, giving America several more opportunities to influence the game.
What classic Big Brother powers or punishments are you hoping make a return?
