Big Brother 28 Overnight Report: Veto Results Send The HOH Into Panic Mode As A Massive Blindside Starts Brewing!

Veto Day arrived quickly and with a bustle of activity in the morning but soon the day started to drag as HGs were anxious but the wait was long. Eventually the late night competition arrived and turned the HOH’s plans upside down.
Haley’s worst case scenario was to see her main target Taylor off the Block and guess what. Yep. So now Haley has to work on a renom and she’s upset about it. She’s upset about Kamu protecting Lyric. She’s upset about losing her buzz. She’s just mostly upset.

9:05 AM BBT – HGs got their wake-up call.
9:30 AM BBT – Lyric and Yash giving Drew a peptalk to go out there and win the Veto.
10:15 AM BBT – Dee confirms to Devens that she did not get the BB Time Capsule.
10:30 AM BBT – Melody isn’t having it today when it comes to Haley. She has some choice words about Haley in chatter with other HGs.
10:45 AM BBT – Kamu has gone upstairs to discuss with Haley about the Noms and her preference for who goes. Haley thinks any of the three going would be good and no one would really care about losing any of them.
11:35 AM BBT – Barrett questions Devens on why Drew is becoming a target. Devens explains it’s because Drew is becoming sketchy and the others see Drew as a liability.
12:15 PM BBT – Mallory and Melody are anxious for the players to be picked. Mallory thinks Haley is upsetting a lot of the HGs with her behavior already.
1:00 PM BBT – Angela camtalks that she wants to get to the end this time. She is sure Drew is coming for her and wants to send him home. Angela says she likes Haley and LaLa but wants to send them home too so she can get farther.
1:10 PM BBT – Feeds cut for the players pick.
2:10 PM BBT – Feeds are back. Chuk and Mallory were picked to play.
2:10 PM BBT – Drew tells Devens if he (Drew) wins the Veto then they need to get the Crossovers together and have a strategy talk.
2:25 PM BBT – Drew promises Kamu that he trusts the Toolshed but he does have some fear about being on the Block.
3:45 PM BBT – Haley and Devens are up in the HOH room talking. Devens thinks Mallory has the power and they can burn it out.
4:20 PM BBT – Mallory and Melody chatting and waiting. Mallory mentions that Big Brother warned them they would be stuck inside for a while.
4:30 PM BBT – Lyric and Kamu talking about Hawaii and how Kamu used to live there too.
5:30 PM BBT – HGs are lounging and snacking, just waiting on that Veto comp.
6:00 PM BBT – Melody and Mallory discuss that they’re getting a night time competition at this point. They wonder if the heat delayed things.
6:45 PM BBT – Yash warns Drew that he’s seen as a pair with Melody, but Drew says there isn’t anything between them.
7:30 PM BBT – Haley and Kamu discuss renom options ahead of the comp. Haley is leaning towards renoming Lyric if needed.
7:40 PM BBT – Feeds cut for the Veto comp.
11:15 PM BBT – Feeds are back. Haley is upset and upstairs in the HOH room eating and drinking her wine.
11:30 PM BBT – Drew tells Devens that he’s ready to takedown Toolshed and he may do something stupid next week which won’t look like it’s him doing it, but it is. (This must be a reference to the Coin of Destiny power.)
11:40 PM BBT – Haley tells Kamu, Chuk, and Angela that she wants to set things up so they can go after the girls next week. Her plan is to renom Lyric. Haley says Taylor winning the Veto was the worst possible outcome.
11:50 PM BBT – Devens talking with Dee in Storage. He wants Mallory to be the renom to flush out any power she may have. Devens says he’s starting to get annoyed with Angela.
12:00 AM BBT – Haley is frustrated with Kamu and doesn’t like that he is pushing to keep Lyric. She says she will have to do what’s best for her own game over his.
12:05 AM BBT – Drew asks Haley about renoming LaLa so he has an easier time at the Block Buster. Haley tells Drew she will discuss with him before she settles on a renom.
12:15 AM BBT – Drew calls this Veto comp a “coin flip game.” (He is really flaunting it at this point.)
12:30 AM BBT – Haley is upset that her buzz from the wine has worn off.
12:35 AM BBT – Haley is still upset about Kamu and Lyric. She tells Angela and Dee about him pushing to protect Lyric. Haley questions his priorities and if he’s really with their alliance.
12:50 AM BBT – Haley wonders if she should pitch a deal to Mallory about not putting her up as a renom. Dee and Devens tell Haley they’re okay with whatever she wants to do.
1:10 AM BBT – Haley says she wants to renom a woman to balance out the recent men evictions. She’s liking the idea of pitching a deal to Mallory and wants to also include protection for Dee and Angela.
1:30 AM BBT – Haley, Angela, and Dee are discussing Drew being the main target now that Taylor is down. Haley expects they’ll lose Barrett when Drew goes but she hopes they gain Lyric in his place.
1:50 AM BBT – Haley and Chuk discuss the renom. She says only Kamu has been opposed to the Lyric renom idea.
2:00 AM BBT – Haley mentions Drew wanted her to throw the comp to him. He told her he would give her the poison drink but didn’t then lost to her.
2:05 AM BBT – Haley tells Chuk she doesn’t think Kamu was trying to win the Veto. She is becoming convinced Kamu isn’t fully with them anymore.
2:30 AM BBT – Drew, Mallory, and Melody discuss the renom options and worry if it’ll be Mallory.
3:00 AM BBT – Drew and Melody are talking about jobs back home. Drew is trying to guess Mallory’s other occupation (game show host) and she finally tells him after lots of guessing.
3:30 AM BBT – Melody and Drew continue to chat with general talk. He’s all fired up and says he has too much energy right now.
4:00 AM BBT – Drew and Melody were the last awake. They head to bed and lights are out.
Drew is in trouble still and he does not get it. Haley really wants him gone now and it just might happen. It also seems glaringly obvious that Drew holds the Coin of Destiny power and chose not to use it this week. He was questioning Haley about whether he was really the pawn or not on Saturday morning likely before his deadline, but didn’t end up putting it into action even though we heard him calling to production that he wanted his lucky coin.
Anyway, Drew may have blown it on that power but now he’s got a few days to sort things out before Thursday night. And even then the Block Buster is a big chance for him, but he will be up against a few tough competitors if Haley goes through with her plan to renom Lyric.
