Big Brother 28 Spoilers: Weekend Roundup – Week 1

The Houseguests have only been in the game for a little over five days now but they haven’t wasted any time in getting this season underway. And with that brings our first roundup of Big Brother spoilers over the weekend in case you missed any of the action since Thursday night’s premiere episode.
Since the unusual HOH comp, featuring just 3 of the season’s 17 HGs, wasn’t even part of Thursday’s episode we had to wait for Friday’s Unlocked show where they got it started at the end only to still leave us with a cliffhanger. Lucky for us, those results were already in before the season even started. So let’s run through everything and get you caught up.
Head of Household:
When Unlocked ended we saw Dee Valladares had just emerged from the jungle to replace Rachel Reilly after her fall into the volcano, naturally. Dee joined Rick Devens and Angela Murray as the season’s stunt casting HGs. One of them would take over as the new HOH in a puzzle competition.
In the end, it was Dee who won out. We’ll see it play out in tonight’s episode of BB28 but I’m guessing Devens’ team must have come in last because those five HGs ended up sleeping in the Have-Not room. “Sleeping” is generous with the set up in there this summer.
Nominations:
Dee took a very diplomatic approach to her nominations. She went for one pick from each of the three teams out of the HOH comp, even though they weren’t really much of teams at all. But this way she even pulled a member from her own group too.
The Noms ended up revealed to be Mallory, Taylor, and Yash. We learned this when the Feeds went live on Friday night after Unlocked. It was a busy night!
Power of Veto Comp:
Feeds were down on Saturday for nearly four hours and that makes sense because it was the first Veto comp of the season and first few rounds of anything every season tend to run long as HGs are learning the routine and settling in.
With three options on the Block it was Mallory who started raising to the top as a popular target for everyone this week. Unfortunately for them, Mallory decided to stick around when she won the Power of Veto for herself. That leaves Yash and Taylor on the Block and Dee in need of a Renom.
Veto Ceremony:
So who goes to the Block when Mallory inevitably saves herself on Monday afternoon? There was a lot of talk since Saturday afternoon and late into the night overnight on the Feeds we heard from Dee that she was leaning towards using Ashley as her Renom pick.
Why Ashley? She’s got few connections in the house and it’d be the least mess for Dee to clean up next week if Ashley does go. But even now it sounds like another Nom could be the preferred option to send out the door. Will that still be Yash by the time we get to Thursday? Don’t forget the Block Buster will be there to change things up on the live show!
