Big Brother 28 Premieres This Week – Here’s What’s Ahead
This week delivers the premiere of Big Brother 28 on CBS starting Thursday night, July 9th! All will be revealed as the Houseguests enter their new home starting at 8/7c with a 90-minute season debut and we learn just who is coming back and what twists lay ahead.
So far we know the “Time Trip” theme which ties into past HGs making a return for the 2026. We’ve also heard from Julie Chen herself to expect tie-ins from other reality TV shows too so that’s gotta be Survivor, right? I’d be surprised for CBS to bring in other networks’ stars. But however it shakes out that’ll be revealed over the next few days when the cast reveal is made.
CBS likes to drop these announcements suddenly, but media outlets have been revealing enough to expect the new roster of HGs this Tuesday, July 7th and that’ll probably be sometime around 12PM ET, give or take. That should show us who all is coming back, but if you remember all the way back to seasons like BB14, that summer they only gave us the Newbies list and then dropped the returning HGs in a second wave so who knows for sure.
Here’s what is ahead this week and when to expect it for Big Brother 28:
- Cast release: Tuesday, July 7th – around 12PM ET
- Season premiere: Thursday, July 9th 8/7c – 90-minutes
- Unlocked premiere: Friday, July 10th 8/7c – 60-minutes
- BB Live Feeds: Friday, July 10th – possibly after Unlocked airs
- Episode #02: Sunday, July 12th – 8/7c – 90-minutes
That’ll get us up and running for the summer with a mad dash to the late September season finale where one of the Houseguests will walk away with $750,000. Not bad for a summer’s work, huh?
