Big Brother 28: New Teasers Suggest Biggest Season Ever And Possible BB Firsts
Our favorite reality TV obsession, Big Brother, returns in a little over a week. As the season approaches, little details are coming at a snail’s pace. However, we know a little more about Big Brother 28 thanks to a recent interview with host Julie Chen-Moonves, and we also got some information from the official channel.
Julie wants us to know that everything is bigger in Big Brother 28. In honor of the 1,000th episode, CBS and Big Brother want to make this season special. In an interview with TV Insider, the longtime Big Brother host teased, “[The biggest season yet] means EVERYTHING, and everything means EVERYTHING.”
We don’t know exactly what that means, but rumors circling seem to suggest there may be more than 16 houseguests this season. The current rumor is 18 houseguests. This would fit Julie’s everything being bigger this season teaser, which includes the most houseguests ever in a single season. Big Brother 17, Big Brother 19, Big Brother 25, and Big Brother 27 had 17 houseguests, but this would be the first season with more than 17 (if the rumors are true).
Because this is just a rumor, we cannot confirm if this information is true until the Big Brother premiere. However, this speculation would fit with Julie’s biggest-season-ever tease. She also teases a few more fun things for the upcoming season.
Julie wants to join the comp beast ranking by competing in the famous Wall Comp. Her goal is to last at least 1,000 seconds on the wall. We don’t know if the Big Brother production team will let the host compete just for bragging rights if she stays up there long enough, but we think it could be fun to see her on the wall.
This also makes us wonder if CBS will try to coordinate the wall competition this year with the 1,000th episode airing. Julie loves a tune in next week teaser because she says that fans will be anxious to watch the Sunday episode following the premiere.
We are guessing the premiere will end on a can’t-miss cliffhanger. Could it possibly involve the rumors of returning houseguests?
Paramount Plus also released its own article. It gave a breakdown of all the important information we need for the upcoming season. It was the standard information, but it specifically said new houseguests. Nonetheless, it didn’t say completely new or all new.
Yes, CBS and Big Brother aren’t too trustworthy with wording because they said all new last year and Rachel Reilly was a houseguest. However, it’s probably safe to say this season may include returning players, but there will be plenty of new houseguests.
We still have so much to learn, but the summer is officially heating up with information. Big Brother 28 should be a fun ride.
