Big Brother 28 Power Rankings Week 2: The Biggest Movers, Surprise Contenders, And Who’s Emerging As The Favorite To Win It All

There was a lot of drama in Big Brother 28 Week 2, but how was the gameplay? There were definitely some questionable moves and a lot of people laying low, so the week 2 power rankings was no easy task. Let’s take a look at how the BB28 players stacked up the second week of the season.

1. Dee

I’m leaving Dee at the top spot this week because she came out of her Head of Household reign pretty unscathed and has herself positioned very nicely. A few people are looking at her and the other “icons” as targets, but I think she has the most potential to survive the week anytime she finds herself up next to Devens and Angela. (Last Ranking: 1)

2.Devens

I don’t really want to put Devens second after he used the veto on Lyric, but the fact that he won the HOH competition and the veto and is making the bold move of targeting Rome, I have no other choice. Not to mentioned, he’s got himself covered very well with his alliances. But like Dee, he is very much a target for anyone outside his groups. (Last Ranking: 6)

3. Drew

Drew might be falling off from the Crossovers alliance a bit, but as of now, he’s still covered by them. But what makes him a power player this week is that he is very well covered outside the alliances with Devens/Dee/Angela. He isn’t hiding it very well, though, so that could be his downfall. But for now, he’s doing a solid job of navigating the Big Brother house. (Last Ranking: 2)

4. Kamu.

I think the fact that so many people are protecting Kamu is wacky, but that, along with his physical attributes, makes him a solid player for now. He is leading his little group in the Red Corner and has the backing of the Toolshed alliance as well. (Last Ranking: 5)

5. Angela

Angela from Big Brother 26 made an appearance this week, but she still handled herself much better than she would have two seasons ago. She is in a good position as of now, so I think she’s playing a solid social game. And the fact that the whole go after Rome thing was her idea, that earns her a lot of extra points this week. (Last Ranking: 3)

6. Melody

There’s a chance Melody goes out this week, and that will be sad because she actually has potential. She sees what’s going on around her and knows what needs to be done. If she actually landed some power, I think she would make big moves. I can’t rank her any lower than 6th because I see her as someone actually playing the game. (Last Ranking: 7)

7. Barrett

Barrett is starting to disappoint me a bit, but the fact that he is well liked and still very insulated with his alliance, means he’s doing something right. It’s smart to lay low at the start of the game, so maybe his strategy is to do that. For that reason, he lands here in the 7th spot. He drops from 4 last week, though, so better step it up, Barrett. (Last Ranking: 4)

8. Haley

Haley jumps up significantly because she somehow ended up in the dominant alliance and is being protected pretty well. She really needs to work on her social game, even though I find her snarky attitude a bit entertaining and sort of old-school Big Brother. (Last Ranking: 17)

9. Chuk

Like Haley, Chuk jumps up just because he is in that power alliance. There hasn’t been a whole lot else from him, but he has surrounded himself with the right people at the start of the game. (Last Ranking: 10)

10. Lyric

I am not sure Lyric really swayed Devens that much this week, but he did take her off the block. And she does realize that her showmance has been a detriment to her game. So I think if Rome leaves this week, she will be overlooked for a lot longer in the game. (Last Ranking: 12)

11. Taylor

Taylor might seem like she’s just hiding from the cameras, but she is actually quietly observing the game and taking it all in. I think her form of laying low is actually a really smart way to go. (Last Ranking: 14)

12. LaTrice

Like Taylor, she’s laying low and she has made solid connections in the game, so I think she could end up making some moves if she ends up with some power. (Last Ranking: 11)

13. Mallory

I thought Mallory was going to be the season’s perpetual pawn after Week 1, but I think her winning the veto changed her trajectory. I should probably even rank her higher than this, but I just can’t find enough points for her to be any higher this week. (Last Ranking: 9)

14. Yash

I am not sure what to even make of Yash. He’s finally making allies and building relationships, but I just don’t know what else to say about him. He won the Block Buster last week, so he does edges out a few people in this week’s rankings. (Last Ranking: 13)

15. Rome

Rome is the target this week, but he really did try to get the target off himself and Lyric with that fake breakup. No one really bought it, but that was a solid effort. And I think he has a shot at winning the Block Buster tonight, so he might have a second life in this game. (Last Ranking: 8)

16. Jason

And here we are with Jason in last place. He’s just playing a messy game and his fight for camera time is going to send him out of this game early. He needs to back down a bit and lay low if he wants an actual shot at this game. (Last Ranking: 15)
