Here’s Why ‘Big Brother’ Season 28 Cast Member Levi Was Kicked Off the Show and Replaced by Yash
Big Brother dropped last night, but the show confused fans with an eleventh-hour casting change ahead of the season 28 premiere.
Original cast member Levi Banks was seemingly replaced by Yash Patel, who stepped in “just days before the show’s premiere.” A production source initially told The Sun that Levi “was pulled from the season at basically the very last second,” and that he’d already done his contestant portrait and sequestering.
So, what happened?
An insider tells the outlet that “There was a breach of contract and a loss of trust. Houseguests are under strict orders to zip it. They can’t say anything to anyone, even family members. CBS takes the NDA very seriously. Information leaked. Too much got out about him before the cast was announced and it’s not exactly clear what happened. But out of an abundance of precaution, CBS pulled Levi and went with their first alternate, which was Yash.”
Still have some questions, honestly, but okay!
Reminder: Yash is a 24-year-old financial analyst from Monroe Township, New Jersey, and fans noticed something was up when his “promotional rollout looked different from the rest of the cast.”
Tune in to Big Brother on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
