Fans Are Hooked! Big Brother 28 Episode 2 Shows The Game Finally Taking Shape With New Alliances And Early Targets!

Big Brother 28 is officially in full swing after Sunday night’s episode. Alliances are already taking shape, a showmance is heating up, and it feels like the first real house drama is just around the corner.

The episode picks up right after Dee enters the game, with the three reality TV icons competing for the first Head of Household of the season.

Angela, Rick Devens, and Dee each team up with a group of newbies to battle it out in a balance puzzle competition. Along the way, Devens reveals that he and Dee did not exactly have each other’s backs during their time on Survivor, so he is understandably a little uneasy about sharing the Big Brother house with her.

The competition comes down to Dee and Angela, who are neck and neck until the very end. Dee pulls out the win and immediately tells her team (Jason, Yash, Lyric and Melody) they are safe for the week. Meanwhile, Devens finishes in last place, meaning he and his team of Drew, Haley, Taylor and Chuk become Have Nots for the week.

Back at the house, the reality of being the first Head of Household starts to sink in for Dee. Nobody wants to make enemies in Week 1, but someone has to make the first move. Angela shares that she hopes to work with both Dee and Devens, believing the three of them could be easy targets because of their reality TV backgrounds.

Elsewhere in the house, Kamu, Chuk, and Haley quietly form an alliance. Their partnership actually helps inspire a much bigger strategy for Dee and Devens.

Putting their Survivor history aside, Dee and Devens agree to work together. They begin mapping out two different alliances that could give them influence across the entire house. Dee suggests bringing Angela into the fold, though she reminds Devens they should be careful with her. Devens also wants Drew involved, and both agree Barrett would be another valuable number.

At the same time, Dee wants strong competitors on her side, including Kamu and Chuk.

That leads to Dee, Devens, Kamu, Chuk, and Haley officially forming an alliance called The Red Corner. It looks solid on the surface, but Devens admits in the Diary Room that this group is not their only priority. He and Dee are still building another alliance behind the scenes. If both groups hold together, they will be sitting in a very comfortable position.

Then comes our first showmance alert. Rome and Lyric waste absolutely no time getting close, sharing a kiss on Day 2. Afterward, Rome asks, “Are we stupid?” I will simply say… probably. It is only Day 2.

Meanwhile, Dee and Devens meet with Angela and reaffirm that they want to work together. They also decide to bring in Barrett and Drew, but they go a step further by telling Angela about their conversations with the other alliance. That group eventually becomes known as The Crossovers, and Dee makes it clear this is the alliance she is truly committed to moving forward.

With nominations looming, Dee has to settle on a strategy. She decides the fairest approach is to nominate one person from each of the three original Head of Household groups while avoiding anyone in her alliances. It sounds simple enough, but it leaves her with very few options.

Things get a little messy when Devens tells Angela about The Red Corner. He also fills Drew in on the alliance. While Angela appreciates the honesty and trusts both of them even more, Dee is far less thrilled. She worries that sharing too much information this early could easily come back to haunt them if word gets around the house.

Later, Dee gathers The Red Corner and explains her nomination plan. The alliance is fully on board, except for one issue. She had already promised her original competition team they would all be safe this week, meaning she is about to break that promise.

Kamu pushes for Barrett to be the replacement option instead of someone from their group, but Dee has no intention of putting Barrett on the block because he is one of her real allies. Ashley briefly becomes another possibility since she also was not part of one of the original Head of Household groups.

So what does Dee ultimately decide?

At the nomination ceremony, Dee sticks with her original plan and nominates Mallory, Yash and Taylor, selecting one nominee from each of the three Head of Household groups. She tells them this was the fairest decision she could make and hopes they understand just how difficult the first nomination ceremony of the season really was.

With alliances already overlapping, trust beginning to crack, and a showmance already making headlines, Week 1 is shaping up to be anything but quiet.
