🚨 LEAKED!!! Big Brother 28 Week 4 Veto Meeting Turns Brutal As HOH Gets More Blood On Their Hands And The House Turns Against Lyric!😱

Taylor Brown used the Power of Veto to remove herself from the block at Monday’s Veto ceremony — the fourth time the medallion has been played this season — and Head of Household Haley Thogmartin named Lyric Medeiros as the replacement nominee.

That puts Drew Campbell, Melody Morris, and Lyric on the block. All three get one final shot at safety in the BB Block Buster during Thursday’s live episode. The two who come up short will face the vote, and one of them will become Season 28’s fourth evictee.

Haley’s reasoning for landing on Lyric, per the live feeds, was that it meant the least amount of blood on her hands. Kamu Kirk pushed hard for Mallory Aurichio instead, backed by Chuk Anyanwu, with part of their pitch being that nominating Mallory might flush out the hidden power much of the house suspects she’s holding (she’s not). Haley wouldn’t budge. She’d made a safety deal with Mallory the day before, and she didn’t want to do to Mallory what Kamu did to Lyric last week — reassure her, then put her up anyway.

Lyric hits a sour note

Haley soured first. She told Kamu she doesn’t trust Lyric anymore — and that she now likes Taylor, because Taylor was at least honest with her. She separately vented to Dee Valladares and Angela Murray, questioning whether Lyric’s loyalty runs to the alliance or only to Kamu. After Monday’s conversation, she told Kamu and Chuk she’d never promised safety from a renom and that she didn’t like watching Lyric throw her own friends under the bus.

Melody went next. On Sunday afternoon she told Mallory she no longer trusted Lyric because of how fast Lyric turns on her allies, and the two mapped out how Mallory should pitch Haley to nominate Lyric instead of her. That’s two-thirds of the trio that christened itself the Giggle Girls a week ago. Who’s laughing now?

Even her defenders didn’t help. LaTrice Verrett argued to Angela that Barrett Pfeiffer should go up instead, calling Lyric a seat filler who wouldn’t be voted out anyway. Angela promptly relayed to Devens and Haley how close LaTrice and Lyric have gotten. Kamu and Chuk are still quietly insisting Lyric can’t go home, but only when Haley isn’t in the room.

So who’s actually in danger?

Drew. And it’s worth noting that this was never Haley’s plan.

Taylor was the HOH’s original target. When Taylor won the Veto on Saturday night, Haley called it her worst-case scenario. Rick Devens is the one who built the case that Drew could do more damage than Taylor if left in the game, and Dee, Angela, Chuk, and Kamu fell in line behind him. Haley came around after.

Angela has been the loudest voice against Drew for weeks, telling the cameras she can read him like a book and that he’s coming for her. He isn’t. But the more practical version of the argument has stuck: Drew knows too much about too many of them, and every week he stays is another week that information can travel.

Drew’s best path forward is to win the BB Block Buster. If he misses it, he has to convince the house that Melody or Lyric is the bigger long-term problem, which is pretty tough sell. And if he is able to save himself, it’s Melody that will likely be sitting next to host Julie Chen Moonves on Thursday.

The Time Capsule mystery has an answer

Fans spent the week convinced Drew had won the Time Capsule power and then inexplicably sat on it. Sunday’s episode confirmed he never had it. Dee Valladares did.

Dee came away with the BB Bribe, and it’s not much of a weapon. She can offer $5,000 to another houseguest, but that player has the option to refuse — a meaningful downgrade from the version Zach Cornell wielded last season, which functionally bought an automatic Veto. It also appears to be a one-shot offer, with no second attempt if the first target passes.
