💥 Big Brother 28: The Outsiders Suffer Another Crushing Defeat As The House Power Structure Grows Even Stronger

Power shifted no where, secrets piled up, and yet another week slipped through the fingers of the Big Brother 28 outsiders. After Rome’s eviction, the house resets, a new Head of Household is crowned, a game changing power enters the mix, and a backdoor plan takes shape.

Sunday night’s episode picks up right after Rome’s eviction, with Lyric trying to clear her name after Taylor cast the rogue vote. Angela and Devens believe Lyric, while Taylor privately owns the move. Even so, she makes it clear she has no intention of confessing to anyone. She tells us she did not come into the house to vote with the majority or simply follow the crowd.

Fresh off his Block Buster win, Jason says he is ready to win another competition, claim the Head of Household title, and take a shot at Devens and his alliance. At the same time, Drew and Barrett agree to watch out for each other because neither feels secure within the Toolshed alliance. In fact, they are convinced they are sitting near the bottom of the group’s hierarchy.

Everyone outside of Toolshed shares Jason’s frustration. They are tired of watching the same side of the house control the game week after week, so plenty of players have extra motivation heading into the next Head of Household competition.

The houseguests travel back to 1985 for a wrestling themed competition (featuring our annual visit from Mr. Pectacular Jessie Godderz), but instead of anything physical, it comes down to a series of true or false questions. They watch wrestling clips and answer questions about what they saw. A correct answer keeps them alive, while a wrong answer sends them packing. The last player standing becomes the new Head of Household.

The eliminations happen quickly. Taylor and Dee are out after the first question. Chuk, Drew, Angela, Melody, and Jason fall on question two. Haley is eliminated on question three, followed by LaTrice on question four. Finally, Lyric, Mallory, Yash, and Barrett miss on question five, leaving Kamu as the new Head of Household. That makes it three straight weeks with the same side of the house holding power.

As Kamu weighs his nominations, Angela and Dee compare notes about Drew. They no longer trust him, and Angela even wonders if he was the rogue vote. They briefly discuss backdooring Drew but quickly realize Kamu would never go for it, so they put that idea aside. That makes sense considering Drew and Kamu have their own side deal called The Handymen.

Mallory meets with Kamu and suggests nominating Jason along with the Survivor players because they are the most likely to receive a BB Time Capsule power. Lyric is next, and her focus is distancing herself from the Rome drama. She even turns on the charm a little, and Kamu reassures her that she is not in danger this week.

Then it is time to reveal the latest BB Time Capsule winner, and it comes as no surprise when Devens earns the vote. Unlike Angela, he receives a power instead of a punishment, and it is a huge one. Devens wins the Diamond Power of Veto, giving him the ability to remove someone from the block and personally choose the replacement nominee. He tells Dee about the power, but the two agree to keep it hidden from everyone else, including Angela.

Later, Kamu tells Drew that Jason is his main target and originally planned to nominate him outright. Drew pitches a different idea by suggesting they use the same strategy they used against Rome and backdoor Jason instead. Kamu likes the plan, but now he needs replacement nominees. He considers LaTrice and Mallory and has already promised Lyric safety. That promise does not last long because he ultimately decides Lyric will have to serve as a pawn. Apparently a little flirting only goes so far.

At the nomination ceremony, Kamu puts Lyric, LaTrice, and Mallory on the block, with Jason waiting in the wings as the backdoor target.
