Big Brother 28: The Tea Party Turns Into A Carefully Planned Ambush As Jason Becomes The Unexpected Target

Sunday was full of craziness on the Live Feeds for these Big Brother Houseguests as HOH Kamu decided a nice catered event would be the time to try and score game points against his isolated and endangered opponent Jason. It didn’t go so great.

Early on Sunday Kamu was already planning an idea to go after Jason and expose his attempts to create allies and deals during Saturday’s lead up to the Veto competition. You’ll remember that Kamu had planned to nominate Jason upfront then switched to a Backdoor approach with a renom instead in his bid to get Jason out the door. Jason suspected this and made pitches to the Noms to pick him for the Veto and then he’d save them when he won it. Pretty standard fare really.

As the day progresses Kamu has been practicing his planned speech against Jason and a few of the HGs (including Dee, Angela, and Devens) know that this ambush is in the works, but many of them do not. Instead, the tea party planned by Mallory as a nice evening in the backyard for the HGs is about to be repurposed as a staging ground for Kamu’s goal to further isolate Jason. Mercy.

Eventually the party go started about an hour later than planned but things were underway. Houseguests had put a lot of effort into this and some of them even being pretty silly like Drew and Barrett who borrowed dresses to get all fancy for the event. A nice spread was laid out across the pool table with snacks, sandwiches, and tea to be enjoyed.

Everything started out pleasant but it didn’t take long for Kamu to go after Jason. Kamu is running through the script he rehearsed and sticking to it but it’s really dragged out. Kamu is going over how Jason was trying to make deals… well yeah? “This is Big Brother, right?!” Jason shouts back at Kamu for his accusations about offering the same deal to each of the three Noms. LaLa cuts in and says Jason did not make her that offer. You’ll recall that it was LaLa who ended up picking Jason to play in the Veto on Saturday.

Jason isn’t going to just sit there and take this volley of attacks from Kamu. We get little gems like “I’M NOT DONE YET!” when Kamu tries to cut Jason off. Jason’s return fire isn’t just at Kamu either as he swings at Haley too as part of the “three strongest people in the house” which he notes is Kamu, Haley, and Chuk. Jason also calls this out as just like when they shut Rome out of the HOH room when everyone was up there plotting against him.

Jason calls out that if the whole House is against him here for being a big threat then why is it that he hasn’t won any HOHs or POVs but just one Block Buster. LaLa chimes in too, saying how is she the other big threat when she can’t win anything? Jason says it’s because the two of them were friends with Rome.

It doesn’t stop there though as Jason calls out that there’s a huge power alliance in the house that doesn’t include him, Mallory, Melody, Taylor, Yash, or LaLa. He’s talking about the Toolshed without knowing its moniker.

There is also a callout against Drew and Barrett as “the middlemen” when Jason asks them if they want to speak up, but no, they don’t. Most of the HGs are sitting through this pretty silent. Taylor soon gets up and walks away saying she just wanted tea and sandwiches.

After some lengthy awkward silences Devens suggests the tea party is adjourned. Nearly, mostly. Jason wants to know what happens if he wins the Block Buster and if it’ll just keep repeating each week. Kamu says it’ll be water under the bridge for him if Jason stays. Yeah right.

Slowly the group dissipates and Jason is left sitting alone in the circle of seats in the yard. Eventually he gets called to the Diary Room and then evening moves on, but this isn’t over. There will likely be a lot of fallout and reactions for the next few days.

Much later in the night Jason appears with a spoon and tea kettle, telling Kamu that since he likes tea so much there will be more spilled on Monday. Jason bangs away on the teapot before heading to bed with his emotional support kettle. Good times on the Feeds.
