đŸ˜± Did Devens Just Make The Biggest Mistake Of Week 2? Big Brother 28 Fans Debate How Bad His Veto Move Really Was!

Devens seems to be taking the go big or go home strategy very seriously on Big Brother 28. He didn’t play it safe this week with his nominations and target. He went after the leader of the other side, instead of just trying to weaken him by taking out some of his allies.  Big Brother fans applauded Devans for this move.

However, his decision with this week’s Veto has fans questioning whether Devens has set himself up for failure. Devens held all the power this week as the Head of Household and Power of Veto holder. This made his decision to backdoor Rome almost too easy. After some conversations, Devens started to lean towards the idea of removing Lyric from the block and nominating Rome as her replacement.

He would leave Melody on the block, whom he initially wanted to remove. This could have garnered him some favor from her, especially as an ally of Drew. The main motivation behind Devens’ decision seems to be the “what if” of Rome winning the BB Block Buster and returning to the game.

Saving Lyric allows some doors to remain open if Rome returns to the game. They even made an agreement that Rome would give Devens a week of safety if Lyric comes off the block. An additional reason for this move was to gain favor with Lyric.

Dee sees the potential of gaining Lyric as an ally, with or without Rome around. She sees Lyric as more open to working with her versus Melody, who seems more solid with Drew and others. If Rome and Lyric stay, they also remain a target because of their existence as a pair. Additionally, Rome could be swayed to at least not immediately go after Devens, and possibly Dee, with this move.

Lyric was highly unlikely to leave this week anyway because if Rome wins the BB Block Buster, most of the houseguests have said they will vote out Jason. Additionally, everyone nominated this week isn’t working with Devens, so he’s not gaining any new enemies by removing Lyric instead of Melody. He just may not gain an ally in Melody, and only time will tell if Lyric and Rome actually don’t go after Devens in the upcoming weeks.

The biggest drawback is that a showmance remains in the game together. That’s hard to break up, especially if both are competition beasts. This could end up being one of their few opportunities to take one of them out. Also, Drew wouldn’t be happy if Melody ends up leaving this week. That could create an even bigger divide between him and his alliance
