Will it trigger her tics even more? Keep reading for the full story.
Baylen Out Loud: Why Are Baylen And Colin Moving Away? Where Are They Going?
Baylen and Colin are facing a tough decision as they plan their future together: where to actually live. On Baylen Out Loud, the couple will soon tie the knot. They originally settled into an apartment in Washington, D.C., but Colin has his sights set on South Carolina instead. Colin wants to build a career in real estate in Myrtle Beach, as there are many opportunities there. Since Baylen wants to support Colin’s career, she will move too.
The problem is, Baylen has spent years building a life that works for her Tourette syndrome. Her family, close friends, and trusted doctors are all nearby, giving her the support system she relies on daily. A move to South Carolina would mean starting over in an unfamiliar place, far from the people who understand her condition best. Fans have also pointed out that Colin’s new job doesn’t come with health insurance, adding even more risk to the move.
Baylen Out Loud: Baylen’s Myrtle Beach Move Worries Her Parents About Her Debilitating Tics
Baylen plans to support Colin with his big career move. In the latest episode of Baylen Out Loud, Colin and Baylen talk about the possibility of a relocation to Myrtle Beach. When Baylen brings it up with her mother and sister, Sammi calls her crazy to even consider moving so far away. Now, her parents are also worried about whether the move is a smart idea for Baylen. The midseason trailer shows the worried parents voice their thoughts on it. Julie calls it “scary.”
Baylen and Colin travel to Myrtle Beach to look at houses there. She gets verbal tics and yells them out really loudly during a house tour. She had to excuse herself to calm herself. This is exactly what Julie and Allen are worried about. Baylen moving so far away, even as a test run, can prove dangerous for her. Her parents and family had cared for her until now, and wherever she traveled, she had them. Now, this is the first time she left the house without her support system. She even had her tics grow as the trip progressed.
Moreover, she even lost her medicines and plans to go several days without them. This worries her parents even more since Baylen’s first time away from family now comes without her medication as well. The Myrtle Beach test run does not seem to be going well. Will they still move if the experience does not feel like the best decision?
